Led by Adrian Villanueva/Sam Bayna doubles team, Lindbergh wins district championship | Tennis

The Lindbergh tennis team won the West Central District championship last weekend. Lindbergh's doubles team of Adrian Villanueva and Sam Bayna won the district title. The team will take on Nick Gigstad and Jeremy Teske of Ellensburg in the first round of the state tournament.

Lindbergh’s doubles team of Adrian Villanueva and Sam Bayna won the district title. The team will take on Nick Gigstad and Jeremy Teske of Ellensburg in the first round of the state tournament.

Alan Kwiatkowski took third and will face Sehome’s Nick Smith in the first round of the state boys singles tournament.

The doubles team of Boris Oks and Bobby Huynh placed third at districts. They will face Nolan Wolffis and Luke Reardon of Lynden at state.

Quinn Osborn will take on Ephrata’s Bianca Schley in the first round of the state girls singles tournament.

The state tournament is Friday and Saturday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center in Seattle.

Lindbergh won a share of the 2A state championship last season.
