The Seattle Thunderbirds Street Team is entering its sixth summer of promoting the teams. The T-Birds Street Team is a volunteer program that promotes the team at fairs, festivals and parades in the greater King County area during the summer.

The volunteer program is rewards-based. For every hour that a Street Team member volunteers for the T-Birds, they are awarded a point. The points can be redeemed at the end of the summer for one of five T- Birds prizes.

The T-Birds are currently looking for Street Team members for the summer of 2010.

"This summer we look forward to being involved in many local and community events," said Ian Henry, T-Birds director of public relations. "The Street Team is a great way for fans to help support the T-Birds in the community."

The T-Birds will post the community events they will be taking part in this summer on the Street Team page of their Web site .

Members will be able to sign up for the events they want to be involved with, track their hours and find out more about the prizes available for being a member of the Street Team on the Web site.

Those interested in becoming a part of the T-Birds Street Team should contact Henry at ianh@seattlethunderbirds.com or 253-856-6836.
