Hazen soccer falls to Kentridge

In Tuesday’s game at Renton Memorial Stadium, Hazen took on one of the pre-season favorites and dropped the match 6-2.

The team was down 2-0 at the half and coach Ken Matthews said he pressed his team to push for the goal in the second half, which resulted in goals from Madison Kem and Nia Johnson. Kem also had an assist.

Hazen is 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the NPSL. They had two big games coming up against league opponents in the next week, traveling to Kentlake on Thursday and then hosting Kennedy Catholic at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Renton Memorial Stadium.
