The Seahawks' 25-19 loss to the Bears Sunday brings mixed results.
First it's a loss, which always stings. But could we really have expected a better performance from a team missing arguably it's four best players due to injury?
I think better days are ahead as long as the team gets healthier.
There is some good news:
- The rest of the NFC West lost also, so Seattle remains a game (and a tiebreaker) behind San Francisco for the division lead.
- Lofa who? David Hawthorne racked up 16 tackles and intercepted a Jay Cutler pass in the red zone. Despite the impressive day, I'll still take Tatupu week-to-week. Though it is nice to know there is good depth at the position.
- Brandon Mebane looked great and seems to be recovered from a calf injury.
- Chris Spencer came back from injury and played well.
- T.J. Houshmandzadeh's numbers have been underwhelming, but his presence (and the double teams it warrants) seems to have helped Nate Burleson find space. Burleson has 20 catches for 229 yards through four games.
- Aaron Curry looked great with a sack and forced fumble.
Finally, I'm not sure what to make of the green uniforms. From everything I've read and heard it seems like the opinion is: 95 percent dislike, 5 percent like.
