Eagles baseball team soar high, winning second game of the season

The team won their second game of the season against Evergreen High School on April 3.

Lindbergh High School

The Lindbergh baseball team won their second game of the season against Evergreen High School on April 3 at Lindbergh High School.

The final score of the game was 16-1, with the Eagles taking the win.

The Eagles had 22 hits and Evergreen had four hits during the game. Lindbergh took the lead early on in the first inning with eight runs.

The second inning wasn’t much different with seven runs for the Eagles. Lindbergh finished the game with one last run in the fourth inning.

For this season, the Eagles have a team total batting average of 0.765 and a total of 26 hits as well.

Their next league game was up against Evergreen again on Wednesday, for an away game at Evergreen High School. The game was played after press deadline.

Hazen High School

The Hazen Highlanders have had a tough season so far with no wins and five losses.

Their last game was played against Kentwood High School on April 2. The final score of the game was 2-0 with the Kentwood Conks taking the win.

The Highlanders have a batting average of 0.222 total as a team and have had about 56 hits this season and 16 runs.

They took on Kentwood High School again on Wednesday for an away game. The game was played after press deadline.

Renton High School

The Renton Indians have not had the best of luck this season with four losses and two wins, leaving them seventh in the 2A South Puget Sound standings.

Their last game was against Eatonville on April 3.

The Indians have a season batting average of 0.212 and have hit 41 runs this season, not including Tuesday’s game.

Their next game was against Eatonville again at Liberty Park in Renton on Wednesday, April 4. This game was played after press deadline.

Liberty High School

The Liberty Patriots have had five wins this season and four losses. Their last game was on April 2 against Mercer Island High School. The final score of the game was 4-2, with Mercer Island taking the win.

The team has a season batting average of 0.349 and have had about 81 hits and about 52 runs.

The Patriots took on Interlake High School on April 4 at Interlake High School. The game was played after press deadline.
