Hazen falls into two-game skid against Auburn and Bellevue | Baseball

The Hazen Post 19 baseball team fell to the Auburn Trojans 7-5 Tuesday in Legion Baseball.

Auburn took an early lead with a solo home run on the second pitch of the game.

Hazen tied the game in the bottom of the first after Shawn Kane singled and Jimmy Schmidt executed a delayed steal, allowing Kane to score.

The Highlanders added a single run in the third and fifth innings. By the bottom of the sixth, Auburn led 7-3. Hazen scored twice in the sixth inning on RBI hits by Ryan Chodykin and Kane, but the rally ended short.

Kane went 3-4 in the game with a run, an RBI and five steals.

Bellevue 8, Hazen 1

Hazen struggled against Bellevue Monday and fell 8-1.

The Highlanders managed two hits and committed five errors.
