Liberty beats Sammamish; Lindbergh outscores Renton in slugfest | Baseball

Liberty 3, Sammamish 1

Liberty bounced back from the first two-game losing streak of the season to beat Sammamish 3-1 Friday.

The Patriots (13-5 overall, 13-3 KingCo 3A/2A) took a 3-0 lead after three innings and never looked back.

Connor Sjolander started and earned the win on the mound.

Peter Wiggum went 1-3 with a home run. Troy Colyer went 2-2.

Lindbergh 17, Renton 7

Lindbergh beat Renton 17-7 Friday.

The Eagles (9-7, 8-7 Seamount) led 6-0 heading into the fourth, but Renton (1-14, 1-14) scored six to tie the game. Lindbergh responded with five more runs in the fourth and never trailed again.

Bakari Davis went 3-3 with five RBI's, two runs, a three-run home run and a steal. Tommy Kawamura went 3-5 with three runs, two RBI's, two doubles and a triple. Billy Hernandez went 2-2 with three runs and three RBI's.

P.J. Mattingly went 2-3 with a run and two RBI's. Oliver Billion went 1-3 with a two-run home run.
