Renton High sophomore Steve Sholdra swam in the National Club Swimming Association Junior Nationals in March.
The meet, held in Orlando, Fla. March 16-20, featured many of the nation's best club swimmers. Sholdra competes with the Bellevue Club Swim Team.
He swam the 1,000 freestyle, 200 butterfly, 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle at the meet.
Sholdra qualified for the Junior Nationals because of his performance at the Senior Sectionals March 10-14.
Sholdra placed second in the 500 freestyle at the 3A state swim and dive meet earlier this year. He also broke a 36-year-old Renton High School record in the event.
