Tim Lincecum takes second straight Cy Young Award

San Francisco Giants pitcher and Liberty graduate Tim Lincecum won the National League Cy Young Award Thursday.
It is the second Cy Young in a row for the 25-year-old. Lincecum led the National League with 261 strikeouts and went 15-7. He compiled an ERA of 2.48.
Lincecum received 11 first-place votes among the ballots by the Baseball Writers' Association of America.
