Girls swim & dive: Seamount League Championships results

The Seamount League Championship swim meet kicked off postseason action for swim teams around the area.
The meet, Oct. 30-31 at Hazen pool, determined the league champion and district/state qualifiers.
Kennedy won the meet with 376 points. Hazen placed third and led all Renton teams with 220 points. Lindbergh finished fourth with 137 points. Renton High placed fifth with 99 points.
Hazen's Lauren Kaufman was part of the area schools' only three wins. She won the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races individually and was part of Hazen's winning 200-yard freestyle relay (also Kaela Nurmi, Amy LeBar and Leah Maier)

- Before the meet, the swimmers got together to yell a cheer for Highline swim coach Robin Hoof, who recently died of cancer. The athletes and audience then observed a few moments of silence in Hoof's honor.
