Help from three of Renton's best football players wasn't enough to push the West all-star team to victory Saturday as the East team won the annual East-West All-State Game 13-12.

Hazen's Courtney Sanders, Lindbergh's Zack Nielsen and Lindbergh's Jacob Allie all played in the contest in Everett for outstanding football seniors.

Nielsen was picked as one of the West Team captains. Allie played quarterback for the West team for most of the game. Sanders performed well on the offensive line.

Sanders will attend Central Washington University next season, playing football. Nielsen will compete in track at Eastern Washington University. Allie will play football at Southern Utah.
