Renton is ready for the Seahawks
Renton is gearing up for the sixth annual Seahawks Training Camp presented by Bing, which begins tomorrow, Friday. More than 33,000 fans will flock to Renton’s beautiful Virginia Mason Athletic Center (VMAC) to watch the Seahawks practice for the upcoming season.
Throughout the city 12 flags will proudly tout fan spirit, and local businesses, organizations and fans will display Seahawks Training Camp 2014 cheer cards. Fans can download cheer cards from the city’s website at rentonwa.gov.
Everyone is being asked to wear blue and green colors and put on their “12” buttons during training camp to show their support. Businesses are also encouraged to use their own reader boards to celebrate Seahawks Training Camp 2014 in Renton.
“We are really excited to welcome fans from all over the region to cheer the Seahawks,” said Mayor Denis Law. “This is a special time of year when our city comes together to welcome Seahawks fans. We are looking forward to another great season. When you are here in Renton at training camp and cheering our team, enjoy all that Renton has to offer-great restaurants, shopping, entertainment, parks and recreation.”
The Landing in Renton will serve as the parking and transportation center.
