Foster's eight-run third inning sinks Hazen

The Foster Bulldogs jumped on Hazen starting pitcher Ben Hoeper in the bottom of third inning, racking up eight runs to give the Bulldogs a lead that the Highlanders could not come back from.

Hazen rallied in the top of the fifth with five runs of their own to chase winning pitcher Yoshio Sanchez, and picked up another in the ninth, but it was not enough.

Eli Azcueta went 2-4 with an RBI and a home run for the Highlanders while Ryan Gayte went 2-3 with a pair of RBI of his own in the losing effort.

Hazen falls to 3-1 in the Seamount league and 3-4 overall.

The Highlanders are scheduled to play Lindbergh Friday at Hazen High School.
