Indians wrestlers look to repeat last year's success | SPORTS PREVIEW

As the winter sports season begins, the Renton Indians wrestling team is looking to repeat their undefeated, championship season from a year ago which saw 19 Renton wrestlers compete in the regionals and four make it to the state tournament.

The team may have lost to graduation two time state competitor Alex Kalinin, but coach Keith Eager is confident going into this season.

"We are returning A number of wrestlers including Khali Crowl and Vlodimir Kalinin who both won a match at the 2A state tournament last year," he said in an email.

Along with those two, Andrews also said Kendrick Untalan, Tony Vo, Alexis Salinas, Abraham Cuevas, Samuel Nicolas and Abel Rodriguez would be wrestlers to watch this season.

Renton wrestling opens its season tonight, Thursday, at Foster.
