The Renton boys basketball season came to end this weekend in Yakima with a fifth-place finish in the state tournament.

The Seamount champion Indians dropped their final two games, after a first round victory Thursday.

After beating Sequim Thursday, the Indians dropped their semi-final game to the eventual champions from Pullman. That loss put Renton into the third-place game against Lyden on Saturday.

Last year's champion Lions proved too much for the Indians, winning 64-41.

Lynden came out fast, winning the first quarter 19-9 and taking a 35-16 into the half.

The Indians finished the year 24-4.
