Renton Boys win state opener in overtime | BOYS BASKETBALL

The Renton Indians boys basketball team on Thursday beat Sequim 59-56 in their opening round game of the state basketball tournament.

The Indians were leading at halftime 27-24, but Sequim tied it in the second half, sending the game to overtime. Renton outscored Sequim 10-7 in the extra frame to take home the victory.

Renton moves on to play Pullman at 3:45 p.m. Friday.

Pullman beat Burlington-Edison in their first round game by a score of 56-36.
