Following their thrilling 42-40 come-from-behind win against Sumner this weekend, the Renton girls basketball team is preparing for a trip to Yakima to play in the state tournament.

And now we know who the first challenge will be: Wapato.

The Indians will play the Wapato Wolves of Wapato, Wash., (south of Yakima) in the first game of the girls tournament at 3:45 p.m. Thursday at the Sun Dome in Yakima.

The Indians are 20-4 and won the Seamount League.

Wapato was 21-2 this season and won the Central Washington Athletic Conference. They earned their spot in the tournament with a 61-60 win over Grandview Friday at Central Washington University.
