Lindbergh, Liberty advance to state | Soccer

The Lindbergh soccer team beat Orting 3-1 in the district tournament to advance to the 2A state tournament.

The Eagles (11-4) play Hockinson Wednesday at home at 7 p.m. in the first round of the 2A state tournament.

Elise Aylward scored twice for Lindbergh, while Lindsey Pfluger added another.

Liberty

The Patriots (12-3-1) had the week off by virtue of winning the KingCo and advancing directly to state. They take on Shorecrest Wednesday at 7 p.m. at home in the first round of the 3A state tournament.

Columbia River 4, Hazen 0

The Highlanders fell in the bi-district tournament. Their season ends with a 12-5-1 record.

Klahowya 8, Renton 0

The Indians lost in the district tournament. Their season ends at 7-6.

Kennedy 3, Wilson 2

The Lancers (13-5-1) beat Wilson to advance to the 3A state tournament. They will play Everett Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Highline Stadium.

Sumner 10, Foster 0

The Bulldogs lost in the district tournament. Their season ends at 4-10-1.
