The Liberty girls cross-country team won a third straight Sea-King district title Oct. 25.

The Patriots scored 65 points, ahead of second-place Lakeside with 74. The boys team placed seventh, just missing state by four points.

Megan Chucka placed second overall with a time of 18 minutes, 45.51 seconds - the best in Liberty history. Allie Wood placed seventh, Sarah Bliesner 12th, Megan Larson 22nd, Rachel Shaw 26th, Carlyn Schmidgall 28th and Jordan Raymond 64th.

Hiron Redman (16:25.62) placed 14th to lead the boys team. Aaron Bowe placed 15th (16:26.78). Both qualified for state.
