Mary Alice Heuschel’s advocacy

When you vote in the upcoming Primary Election, be sure to go all the way to the bottom of the ballot. There you will find a race for commissioner of Public Hospital District No. 1. In more straightforward language, this race is for Valley Medical Center commissioner, and the candidate of choice is Mary Alice Heuschel. Dr. Mary Alice currently serves as superintendent of Renton Public Schools, a position she will continue if also elected to serve her community as a hospital commissioner.
In addition to her love of education, Mary Alice also has an abiding interest in health care, believing strongly that health and education are interconnected. Mary Alice was selected as the Washington State Superintendent of the Year in 2011 and ranked in the top four superintendents in the nation. The leadership that Dr. Heuschel displays as superintendent makes her qualified to be a leader on the hospital commission.
Mary Alice is a strong advocate for the newly formed alliance between Valley Medical and UW Medicine, believing that it will increase the level of quality healthcare in South King County. Please vote for Mary Alice Heuschel.
