RALPH L. RUTLEDGE

Ralph L. Rutledge passed away peacefully in his home in Renton on February 15, 2017.

Ralph was born October 16, 1925 in Snoqualmie, Washington. His mother and father homesteaded the area in 1896. He remained a Washington resident his entire life.

One of 16 siblings Ralph worked hard all his life, met and married the love of his life Ruth in November of 1946, they were married almost 70 years until Ruth’s death in April of 2016.

Anyone who knew Ralph remembers what an amazing storyteller he was. His sense of humor was infectious and the antics he and his best friends Dick and Tony got into working for the Renton School District and the City of Renton were legendary. Ralph was a plumber for the latter half of his career working for the elderly well into his 70s. He loved his family very much and was extremely proud of their accomplishments.

He is survived by his three children Pam Rutledge (Daryl) Randy Rutledge (Pam) Lori Richardson (Rick); four grandchildren Shannon, Kari, Melissa, and Ryan and six great-grandchildren Nathan, Zach, Matthew, Riley, Presley and Natalie.

A private service will be held Friday February 24th. In lieu of flowers we ask that you please make donations to The American Cancer Society.
