Kenneth Walls

Kenneth Allen Walls was born in Seattle, Washington to Mayland Charles “Scotty” Walls and Verona May Walls (Hilliker) He grew up in Renton Washington and attended Renton High school before joining the U.S. Army, serving in Korea and starting his law enforcement career as an MP. He was honorably discharged in 1963. Being the Fire Chief’s son, he proudly took his place by his dad’s side with the Renton Fire Department, where he had a 20 year career in civil service.“KENNY” retired in 1988.Following his retirement, he opened and operated Maple Valley Trophy. “Pops” was also a member of the Renton Fire Department Retirees Association, FOE and VFW. KW enjoyed family, traveling, playing cards, fishing and camping at the family camp site in Cle Elum, WA. He was the beloved Husband of Camille, Brother to Gary Walls and Judy Louis, dedicated father of John Walls, Timothy (Tim) Walls, Amy Walls, Laurie Campbell and Robert (Bobby) Radcliffe. He was also a loving grandfather to 12 wonderful grandchildren. Services were held at the First United Methodist Church of Renton. He was laid to rest with his mother at the Tahoma National Cemetery on Monday Aug. 18.
