Unwanted house guests | POLICE BLOTTER

The following information was compiled from Renton Police Department’s incident reports.

A woman contacted police on June 5 to report two suspicious suspects who came by her house on May 1.

According to the woman, a male and a female couple arrived at her house and claimed they were looking into buying a mobile home in the park and asked to see her unit. Having been in real estate prior, the woman allowed them to enter her residence and show them around.

Before they left, the female suspect asked to use the restroom, which the victim agreed. The suspect then remarked, “You’re going to let me use your restroom?” The victim said she found this suspicious, but allowed the suspect to use the restroom anyway while she and the male suspect waited outside the residence.

After the suspects left, the victim said she noticed things out of place. She saw the china cabinet’s glass was open but nothing appeared to be moved. A box that was placed on one end of the headboard was moved to the other side.

She also noted that several CDs were missing. She said she did the “books” for her daughter’s company of about five employees and was worried their tax information that may have been on the CDs might be compromised. She said some jewelry was also taken.

Drugged up slumber: Police was dispatched to a warehouse on June 5 located on the 800 block of Lind Avenue to reports of a trespassing male.

The reporting party described the suspect as a male wearing a black sweatshirt, and said he was trespassing the property and was asleep at the rear of the building. Two Renton officers went to the back of the building to find two individuals sleeping under a no trespassing sign. One of the suspects matched the description by the reporting party.

The officers removed a large machete type knife that was near the suspects, then noticed a clear plastic baggie filled with methamphetamine wrapped around a small glass pipe next to the suspects. Upon waking the suspects up, the male suspect gathered his possessions that were scattered around him and tried to push it down a bag. He attempted to push the drugs further down his bag.

The male suspect was booked into SCORE jail for VUSCA.
