A 34-year-old Seattle woman showing obvious signs of meth use was arrested May 8 at Wal-Mart on Rainier Avenue for shoplifting items she said she needed for her children.

During the interview she was sweating and speaking almost non-stop. She uses methadone daily.

She was arrested for third-degree theft. Officers soon suspected she was dealing drugs.

During a search of her purse, officers found eight tiny bags containing a white, crystal-like substance, recognized as methamphetamine, in a small pink tin.

Another officer found a yellow tin, with eight small plastic bags inside her purse, each containing a crystal-like substance.

She admitted to selling methamphetamine for about six weeks. She told officers she had more meth hidden in her bra. A small “Frozen” tin held eight larger plastic bags containing a crystal-like substance.

The substance when combined weighed 11.34 grams and field tested as methamphetamine.

She was booked into the SCORE regional jail for investigation of selling drugs.

Boeing drone is stolen

An employee of a Renton warehouse on Monster Road that fulfills orders for Boeing was fired May 7 after security cameras showed him stealing a $900 Boeing drone.

The boss checked security cameras after he was notified that several items awaiting restocking were missing, including the drone.

The fired employee is seen picking up the drone from a pallet and taking it to his truck. A further check showed him taking items from the warehouse in the last month.

The 55-year-old Covington man admitted taking another drone and several sweatshirts. It wasn’t immediately known what he did with the drones.

Two men arrested over drugs

Two Renton men were arrested May 12 at a house in the 11100 block of Southeast 180th Street that neighbors report is used for drug sales.

One of the men, 28, was working on a car and the second man was sitting inside another car. The nervous-acting second man, 31, walked up to the officer, who was taking to the first man. The second man had an outstanding felony warrant.

The second then took something from the open engine compartment and walked away. Walking backward, he reached into his coat for something, at which point the officer used his taser to subdue him. He went into seizures and was treated by medics.

Officers found marijuana inside the engine compartment and what tested as heroin in a plastic bag on the pavement.

The first man was arrested for drug possession and the second man, who was taken to Valley Medical Center, was also  arrested for drug possession after his release from the hospital.

They were booked into the SCORE regional jail.

Handgun stolen

A Glock handgun was stolen overnight May 13 or 14 from a car parked in a driveway on Southeast 137th Place.

It’s unknown how the thieves got inside the car.

Also stolen were clothes, electronic gear worth about $1,500 and tools worth about $1,000.

Yogurt shop burglarized

Someone broke into the Shnoo Yogurt Shop overnight May 12 or 13 at The Landing and stole $500 in cash.

Someone punched the front-door lock to get in.

A technician was able to lift a shoe print.
