RPD seeks assistance in identifying armed robbery suspects

Two male suspects stole gold and diamonds on Jan. 7 from Gold and Silver Traders.

Renton Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying two armed suspects who were involved in a robbery on Saturday, Jan. 7 at Gold and Silver Traders pawn store, 2821 NE Sunset Blvd.

According to a press release, the suspects walked into the store at 4 p.m. One suspect pointed a gun at the clerk, jumped over the counter and ordered him to open the safe. The other suspect stood guard a the front of the store. Large quantities of gold and diamonds were stolen.

The suspect pointing the gun was described as a black male wearing a black hoodie with thick white letters on the front, carrying a silver handgun. The victim did not get a good look at the second suspect.
