Renton man injured in New Year’s Day incident

The 79 year old was driving along state Route 900 when the incident occurred.

A 79-year-old male from Renton was injured early morning Jan. 1, 2019 along state Route 900.

Robert Cooke was travelling westbound SR 900 east of 109th when his vehicle left the roadway and rolled multiple times.

According to Washington State Patrol, he was ejected from the vehicle and came to rest in a drainage creek nearby.

Cooke was transported to Harborview Medical Center for his injuries.

It was reported the cause of the incident was impairment, according to WSP.
