Overnight lane closures return to SR 169 in Renton, August 11-13

Work will include single lane closures and alternating traffic, creating delays of up to 30 minutes.

Construction work to repave nearly two miles of State Route 169/Maple Valley Highway and improve 15 sidewalk ramps is nearing completion. Overnight lane closures Aug. 11-13 will allow crews to push the project even closer to the finish line.

This weekend, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will finish paving SR 169 between Cedar River Park and 140th Avenue Southeast.

The Friday and Saturday night work will include single lane closures and alternating traffic, creating delays of up to 30 minutes.

Nighttime travel delays, Aug. 11-13

Drivers in Renton should expect travel delays and backups as crews:

  • Close one lane of northbound SR 169 at 8 p.m. and one lane of southbound SR 169 at 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
  • Alternate traffic on SR 169 between 11:30 p.m. and 7 a.m.
  • Reopen all lanes Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m.
