Earth Day celebration set for April 29

The city of Renton will hold its annual Arbor Day and Earth Day celebration Saturday, April 29 at Heritage Park.

Volunteers will care for existing trees, plant new ones along with shrubs and flowers, weed and spread mulch.

“I encourage all our citizens to take time and do something special to commemorate Arbor Day and Earth Day,” Mayor Denis Law said in a media release. “It’s the perfect time for our community to come together not only for the good of our environment, but to preserve our parks for future generations.”
