Drunk driver crashes into a power box | KCSO POLICE BLOTTER

ACCIDENT

• On April 22 officers responded to reports of an accident on SE Fairwood Blvd. According to the police report, a drunk driver had crashed into a power box.

VANDALISM

• On April 23 it was reported an unknown suspect shot out a window on an unoccupied home that is for sale using a BB gun.

• On April 23 officers responded to the Fairwood Landing apartment complex to reports that the community mailboxes had been damaged. The police report stated possible theft of mail may have happened as well.

LARCENY

• On April 24 it was reported items were stolen from a residential burglary and were sold on OfferUp. According to the police report, the victim confronted the suspect who was selling the items.

• On April 24 officers responded to reports that several large pieces of rare wood was stolen from the victim’s yard. The police report stated it would take at least two people to carry the slabs of wood.

• On April 24 it was reported that the victim’s cell phone had been stolen from the locker room of an aquatic center by an unknown subject.

• On April 26 officers were contacted by the reporting party who had parked and secured her vehicle in the Starbucks parking lot in Fairwood. She reported that while she was inside Starbucks she left her purse on the front seat and someone had broken her vehicle’s window and grabbed the purse.

• On April 26 officers responded to the LA Fitness parking lot in Fairwood to reports that the victim’s purse had been stolen from her vehicle. The police report stated the victim left her purse underneath the front seat. The report added an employee from Mike’s Auto saw two unknown subjects near the victim’s vehicle.

• On April 29 officers responded to the LA Fitness parking in lot in Fairwood regarding reports that unknown suspects had broken the victim’s rear window on her vehicle to gain entry. The report added the victim’s computer bag had been stolen from inside.

BURGLARY

• It was reported on April 24 that an unknown suspect entered an unlocked home and took items including money from inside without permission.

• On April 26 officers responded to reports that someone had forced their way into the victim’s home. The report stated the suspect entered through a rear door and took several guns and jewelry.

• On April 27 it was reported to officers that an unknown suspect had forced entry into the victim’s shed and stole items from inside. The police report added the suspect left a cell phone behind.

• On April 27 it was reported that unknown suspects had removed boards covering the front doors to eight or nine trailer units. The report added the suspects then took items from inside the trailers.

• On April 29 officers were contacted by the reporting party who said unknown suspects entered his garage and stole items from inside. The police report stated the reporting party forgot to secure the side door in his garage. The report added that no entry was made to the interior of the home.

ROBBERY

• On April 25 it was reported to officers that two subjects had gotten into an altercation. The police report stated that one subject had pushed the other to the floor and slammed him against the wall. The report added that the subject also stole $4 from the victim’s pocket before throwing him to the floor again. The subject yelled at the victim to “get to (his) room” before he dragged him down the hall and kicked him.

ASSAULT

• On April 24 officers responded to a domestic violence incident involving two parents in the middle of a divorce. The police report stated a physical altercation began during a child custody exchange.

• On April 26 officers arrested a male subject after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend near Petrovitsky Park in Fairwood.

THREATS

• On April 25 it was reported that a juvenile suspect had made threats to kill and had also assaulted the suspect’s mother. The police report stated there were visible injuries on the mother’s face.

• On April 29 it was reported to officers that a verbal argument between neighbors over a noise complaint turned into the suspects threatening to beat up their elderly neighbor.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

• On April 25 officers were contacted by the reporting party who told them an unknown man had followed her to two different businesses in the Fairwood shopping complex. The police report stated she felt like the man was not only following her but was also watching her.

• On April 26 it was reported that sometime overnight an unknown person entered the victim’s home and filled an envelope with a bird and dog food before leaving.

FRAUD

• On April 24 it was reported to officers that an 85 year old fell victim to a scam that cost them $2,900. The police report stated the victim didn’t know what the money was for but said the unknown suspects made mention of some type of charity.

AUTO THEFT

• It was reported on April 25 that a vehicle had been stolen from a trailhead. The police report stated the victim had left the key under the floor mat and the vehicle unlocked.

NARCOTICS ACTIVITY REPORT

• On April 27 it was reported to officers that subjects were loading plants, brown bags and packages into several vehicles.

TRESPASS

• On April 28 officers were called to Jay Berry’s Cafe regarding reports that two subjects were causing a disturbance. Both subjects were formally trespassed from the location.

VEHICLE RECOVERY

• On April 28 a vehicle that had been parked in an assigned stall at the Fairwood Pond apartment complex was being towed. The towing company who responded discovered the vehicle had been stolen and called to report it.

• On April 29 it was reported that a reckless driver had dumped a stolen vehicle in the Woodside development. At this time the suspect is still unknown, according to the police report.

DISTURBANCE

• On April 28 officers were contacted by a juvenile’s parents who were reporting that an 18 year old male was playing with their 12 year old daughter at the neighborhood park. The police report stated the parents were upset and thought this was inappropriate.
