Alisa Louie selected for vacant RSD board position

She replaces Todd Franceschina, who resigned earlier this year.

Renton School Board selected Alisa Louie to fill the District No. 1 director position on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Louie replaces Todd Franceschina, who resigned June 28.

According to a Renton School District press release, she will be a board member for the remainder of the elected term, which ends in December 2019.

Louie attended Talbot Hill Elementary School, Nelsen Middle School and Lindbergh High School. She graduated from Western Washington University with a major in child development and education and a minor in Japanese.

She currently teaches at Evergreen Heights Elementary School in the Auburn School District. She works as an interventionist with English language learner students in math and reading, and is also a teacher coach.
