Bus fire causes 11-mile backup on I-405, SR 167: VIDEO

A bus fire in Newcastle caused a 11-mile backup on northbound Interstate 405 and State Route 167, causing bumper-to-bumper traffic from in Renton Tuesday morning.
Flames gutted the bus, even burning nearby brush alongside the road.
No one was injured.
The backup consists of 7 miles on I-405 and 4 miles on SR 167, stretching from Newcastle to Kent, according to a press release from the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The fire was first reported at 6:45 a.m., and the bus was towed away by 10:30 a.m. The incident initially blocked two right lanes of I-405 as firefighters put out the flames.
