I-405 ALERT: Multiple-vehicle collision blocked all lanes north of SR 167

A multiple-vehicle collision blocked lanes of northbound Interstate 405 just north of SR 167 Thursday morning, according to the Washington state Department of Transportation.

The accident was completely cleared by about 10 a.m. The right-hand lane was reopened at about 9:45 a.m.

Traffic was getting by the scene by using the gore point and the ramp lane from northbound SR 167.

At 9:45 a.m. the backup on SR 167 was four miles and a mile on I-405.

The collision occurred at about 9:15 a.m.

The transportation department's Incident Response Team and fire crews was at the scene.
