Renton fire crews help extricate man who drove car into mobile home on Rainier

A Seattle man in his 50s was extricated from his vehicle after it crashed into a parked mobile home on Rainier Avenue South early Friday afternoon, according to Fire District 20.

The man received minor injuries and was taken to a local trauma center for evaluation, according to Dave Nelson, a spokesman for the fire district, which covers Skyway and West Hill.

The incident occurred at about 1 p.m. in the 11400 block of Rainier Avenue South. The King County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

The man was extricated with assistance from Renton Fire and Emergency Services. No one was inside the mobile home, which was destroyed.
