A 22-year-old man was wounded by a single gunshot Tuesday night in the 1000 block of Edmonds Avenue Northeast, according to the Renton Police Department.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center Center with non-life-threatening injuries, said Renton Police Commander Floyd Eldridge.

A white smaller vehicle was seen leaving the scene at a high rate of speed with its lights out after the shooting at about 10:25 p.m.

The suspect was described as an approximately 6-foot-tall, thin black male wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.

The Renton Police Department Investigations Division is continuing to investigate this incident.
