The Aukeen/Kent District Court in Kent is moving to high ground in Renton to avoid any flooding of the nearby Green River.
The move was Friday, with the court operations expected to be in full operation sometime Monday afternoon.
The Aukeen/Kent District Court will move into the King County District Court building that once housed the court's Renton Division. The court system is leasing the building at 3407 N.E. Second St., from the owner, Renton Technical College.
Aukeen will move back to Kent after the flood threat has eased this spring, said District Court spokeswoman LeeAnna Young.
Anyone with court business has been notified of the change in the court's location, said Young.
Due to this move, the Aukeen/Kent District Court staff will not have telephone or data access until possibly sometime on Monday afternoon at the Renton location.
All telephone numbers will remain the same.
