Polar bears swim at park in Renton

Dozens of brave dippers, young and old, showed up to the second annual Polar Bear Dip on New Year's Day at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. The temperature of Lake Washington was probably in the 40s and the cold weather on Thursday didn't do anything to chase away the shivers.
