Police blotter: Digital camera, computer stolen

A digital camera and a laptop computer, valued at about $450, were stolen from an apartment in the 4700 block of Shattuck Avenue Place South on Oct. 30, according to Renton Police.

The burglars removed a screen from a rear window, then opened the window to get inside, according to police.

The resident also reported the burglars rummaged through a jewelry box and opened closet doors. Fingerprints were lifted from the jewelry box and the doors.

A GMC SUV was broken into sometime two days prior to Oct. 31 from a residential complex at 1700 Lake Washington Boulevard, but nothing appeared stolen, according to Renton Police.

The driver’s-side window was smashed out. The front-seat console was rummaged through.
