Don't miss this Saturday: Downtown Halloween party

The Downtown Renton Trick or Treat and Olde Fashion Halloween Party is 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Treats are available at participating downtown businesses and families can enjoy games, refreshments and picture taking at the Olde Fashion Halloween Party in the Main Street Square (entrance on the 200 block of Main Avenue South).

The 2008 winners in the competition to decorate storefronts with scarecrows are:

• First place, Salvation Army

• Second place, Frontier Bank

• Third place, Green & Rousso

• Honorable mentions: Merrill Gardens at Renton Centre and First Savings Bank Northwest.
