Valley Medical Center was recently named to Modern Healthcare’s inaugural list of the “100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.

This marks VMC’s third “Best Place to Work” honor in the past year.

VMC was chosen out of nearly 240 participating healthcare companies from across the United States. Specific ranking from 1 to 100 will be published in a special supplement on Oct. 27. The supplement will also recognize the top places to work by industry segment and by number of employees.

The program collected information from both the employer and employees and was open to all companies (providers, suppliers, payers, associates, etc.) with at least 25 employees. Employers completed a survey detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics.

Valley Medical Center’s community-owned hospital and network of specialty and neighborhood clinics employs more than 2,400 people at the main hospital campus and in clinics located in neighborhoods around the district including Newcastle, Renton, Kent, Auburn, and Covington.

This past year VMC was named one of the “100 Best Companies To Work For” by Washington CEO, the seventh year VMC has received this award. Also this year, VMC was named, for the second consecutive year, one of the “Best Companies to Work For In The Seattle Area” by Seattle Business Monthly.
