Internet charity sensation "the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge" made its way to Renton this past week with former Fire Chief Lee Wheeler taking the challenge Tuesday at the Farmers Market.

Wheeler, who promised to also donate $110 to the cause, challenged Mayor Denis Law, Police Chief Kevin Milosevich, Fire Chief Mark Peterson and Firefighter Union President Mark dos Remedios to take the challenge next.

The internet sensation has raised millions of dollars for the ALS society this summer as regular people, politicians and celebrities are all being doused with buckets of ice water to raise awareness and raise money.
