REMINDER: 'Energize Eastside' sub-area committee meeting is tonight at RTC

Puget Sound Energy is hosting an "Energize Eastside" sub-area committee meeting from 6:30 to 9 p.m. tonight, Thursday, at Renton Technical College.

The public is invited to come learn about and comment on the project, which will install new, higher-capacity transmission lines from Renton's Talbot Hill Substation to the Samammish Substation in Redmond.

The sub-area group will report its finding to the Community Advisory Group, who later this year will make a recommendation to the energy company regarding which of the two proposed route through the city is preferred.

Tonight's event runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Renton Technical College Building I, Robert C. Roberts Campus Center Cafeteria, 3000 N.E. Fourth St.
