Man stabbed in chest during fight at tavern, taken to Harborview

A man was taken to Harborview Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after he was stabbed in the chest during a fight at a tavern in the 1100 block of Sunset Boulevard Northeast in the Highlands.

His condition wasn't immediately available.

The suspect, who was detained but not immediately arrested, was being interviewed by Renton Police detectives, according to Terri Vickers, a spokeswoman for the Renton Police Department.

Officers arrived at the tavern at 3:25 p.m., two minutes after the initial call to 911.

The suspect was still at the scene when officers arrived, according to Vickers.

The investigation is continuing and the Renton Reporter will have additional details when they become available.
