Gunman fires multiple shots at customer inside Renton convenience store

A gunman fled on foot Wednesday night after firing multiple shots at a customer inside a convenience store on Benson Road South, according to the Renton Police Department.

The victim, a 24-year-old Renton man, apparently was targeted by the gunman but was not hurt. A second customer not related to the shooting suffered a minor foot injury.

The shooting occurred at about 9:20 p.m. as the two ran around inside the store, according to police. A K9 track was unsuccessful.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Renton Police Department, 425-430-7500, and refer to case 13-9284.
