Renton plans open house on Jones Road sidewalks

The City of Renton will hold an open house on Tuesday for residents, businesses and community groups to receive information about sidewalk improvements on Jones Avenue Northeast.

The meeting is 7 – 8:30 p.m. at Kennydale Elementary School, 1700 N.E. 28th St.

The planned improvements will provide a walking route for children to get to schools in the area.

A new sidewalk is being planned along the east side of Jones from Northeast 20th Street to Northeast 26th Street, including driveway drops and curb ramps. Several properties will be directly affected.
