Tickets are now available for the Renton Salvation Army’s “Need Knows No Season” banquet, June 26 at 6 p.m. at the Spirit of Washington Event Center.

This year’s theme is “Help Us Help the Children.” Tickets are available by invitation only. A $100 donation is suggested.

The annual benefit raises money for the Salvation Army Renton Rotary Food Bank and other Renton Corps human services programs.

This years’ benefit marks the third anniversary of the food bank, which now serves 1,500 families a month. That number is up from the 950 families served during the food bank’s first year. Individuals served increased from 4,000 just over a year ago to 10,0000 in December. That number went down to a still-high 6,500 in February. Of those individuals served, 2,340 are children.

To request an invitation to the banquet or to sponsor a table, contact captains Terry or Rutendo Masango at 425-255-5974, ext. 6.
