Council agenda for Monday includes recognition of police employees

The Renton City Council will meet for its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the Council Chambers of the seventh floor of City Hall.
On the agenda is a special presentation recognizing members of the police department.
Also on the agenda is an appointment to the planning commission, an appointment to the airport advisory committee and appointments to the municipal arts commission.
There is also an interlocal agreement regarding a donation of a fire vehicle from Kent.
Prior to the regular meeting, the council will conduct a committee of the whole meeting at 6 p.m. to discuss emerging regional issues.
Also on Monday, the council's finance committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. and will include an update on online utility billing. The public safety committee will meet at 5 p.m. and is scheduled to receive a briefing on availability and reliability of fire station/response apparatus and to discuss emerging issues in public safety.
