Renton Police are asking the public's help to identify the man who is suspected of robbing the Circle K, 2022 S. Puget Drive, at about 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7.

The suspect finished a cigarette before he entered the business, asked to use the bathroom and then selected an item to purchase, according to Renton Police. He approached the counter as if to pay, then gestured like he had no money and said he would be right back.

The suspect exited the store briefly before returning, claiming he had a gun under his shirt and demanding money. The Circle K employee handed over the money from the register – less than $60 –  and the suspect fled north behind the store.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 40s, 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He has short dark brown hair with gray in it and stubble facial hair. He was last seen wearing a long sleeved blue shirt, faded blue jeans and brown leather work boots.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the crime is asked to call Detective Hansen at 425-430-7500 and refer to case 13-245.
