Tickets are on sale for the annual RAYS (Renton Youth and Family Services) “Signature Showcase” Dinner and Auction May 31 at Renton Technical College.

The silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m. A prime rib buffet will be served at 7 p.m., and the live auction begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person and $400 for a table of eight.

Gary and Betty Kohlwes are chairing the Signature Showcase, which features the work of local artists and crafters and signature foods and wines.

Auction items include “¿Quieres bailar?”?(Shall We Dance?) — a package including salsa lessons, tapas and Spanish food and wine; “Sports Night” — a “guys night out” package featuring dinner at El Gaucho with KOMO Sportscaster Mike Ferrari; and two “girls night out” packages.

The evening will also include the presentation of the annual RAYS4Hope Award, given to an individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the welfare of children and families.

RAYS aims to raise $35,000 at this year’s “Signature Showcase.” That money will go toward an emergency fund and uncompensated mental health care for children and families.
