King County elections to post results Saturday, Veteran's Day

November 9, 2012 · Updated 3:02 PM

King County Elections will post updated general election results on its website at 7:30 p.m. today (Friday) with a goal of including 75,000 ballots in the report, according to officials

Although elections offices will be closed to the public, ballot processing staff will work Saturday, Nov. 10, and Monday, Nov. 11 (Veteran’s Day), and Elections will post updates at 4:30 p.m. both days.

As of Friday, 723,283 ballots have been processed and reported. Elections has an estimated 262,000 ballots remaining to be processed. About 16,200 of these are waiting for voters to respond to requests to supply or update signatures. Of those, about 9,000 have signatures that don’t match the signature on file.

If voters have been contacted by Elections, they should respond promptly so their ballot can be processed, according to Elections officials
