The Regional Lions Clubs’ 60th Annual Convention is Friday and Saturday at Renton’s Holiday Inn on South Grady Way. The convention begins Friday night with Hawaiian Extravaganza Fun Night, featuring a tropical crockpot cook-off and other contests.

The Lions will provide free health screenings for blood pressure, glaucoma, diabetes, sight and hearing Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Lions Mobile Health Screening Unit outside the Holiday Inn.

The Lions will also collect non-perishable foods for Renton Food Bank and used eyeglasses and hearing aids during the convention. Items can be dropped off in the convention registration area inside Holiday Inn. Eyeglasses will be distributed in Third-World countries and hearing aids will be rebuilt and refurbished for local residents.
